Dubai: As many as 382 students of the 14th batch of BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus, were awarded Engineering degrees at a convocation ceremony held at the institute’s Academic City campus recently.

The occasion was graced by Ambassador of India to the UAE Navdeep Singh Suri, vice chancellor of BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus, professor Souvik Bhattacharya, professor R. N Saha, director BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus, members of the senate, industry Partners, BITS Alumni, faculty members and friends and parents of the graduating students.

Addressing the gathering Navdeep Suri congratulated the graduates and urged them to seek a career in Indian Foreign Services and contribute towards the country’s foreign policy

While professor Souvik Bhattacharyya, who delivered the convocation address, highlighted the achievements of BITS Pilani, professor Dr R.N. Saha focused on the institute’s research and community outreach activities, faculty development and student placement.

Some of the prominent companies who participated in their campus placement programme this year include: Mitsubishi Elevators, Schindler, Tetrapak, Qualcomm, Zomato, Teknoware, PwC, IBM, Roamworks.
