Sana'a: Yemen ministry of defence said on Wednesday that security forces dismantled an Iranian spy network, secretly working in the country for the last seven year.
According to the ministry's news website, the network has been administrated by a former commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and carrying out espionage activities in Yemen and the Horn of Africa.
The website didn't elaborate any further on the members of the spy. Yemen has repeatedly accused Iran of fomenting violence in the troubled country by financially supporting Al Huthi rebels in the north.
In the past, many Yemenis were brought to trial over charges of spying for Iran.
