Yemen: Sweethearts end life for failing to get married

Sana'a: Two Yemen lovers have sorrowfully decided to take their own lives when their families stood in their way of achieving their goal of getting married, Yemen ministry of interior reported.

A young man, 20 years old ,had a serious girlfriend ,18,all hail from the western province of Hajja, fell in love with each other, but to their disappointment, their families were at loggerhead and refused to allow them to tie the knot.

The frustrated partners eloped to an undisclosed place and swallowed lethal materials, collectively ending their lives.

Police said that they found them dead and took their bodies to families for burial.
