Aden: A consignment of 53 school buses, provided by the UAE in support of the educational sectors in Yemen, arrived in Aden on Monday.
Mohammad Nasr Al Shazly, Under-secretary of the Governorate of Aden, thanked the UAE for the continuous support to the liberated areas in Yemen.
The UAE’s assistance to the Yemeni educational sector includes construction, maintenance and furnishing of schools, as well as renovation of accommodations in the universities.
The UAE’s aid to Yemen during the period between April 2015 and April 2017 reached Dh8 billion, of which, a total of Dh160.1 million was spent on revamping Yemen’s educational sectors.
