Top Al Qaida leader still alive
Sana'a: Al Qaida's second most senior leader in Yemen was not among four militants killed by security forces on Wednesday, a security source said, based on a medical examination of the corpse.
A security source said on Wednesday Qasem Al Raimi was killed in a raid along with other three militants in Marib. Official Al Thawra newspaper also put Al Raimi among the Marib dead and published his picture with its front page report.
A medical examination showed the body, believed to be Al Raimi's, was that of another man, the security source said yesterday. President Ali Abdullah Saleh said those killed in Marib, east of Sana'a, were involved in a bombing that killed eight Spanish tourists and two Yemenis last month.
