Abu Dhabi: Two people were killed and three others injured, two of them seriously, in a horrific head-on collision on Al Hubail Road, in Asir, in the southwest of Saudi Arabia, local media reported.
The fatal collision occurred at 6pm on Sunday, an official said.
Ahmed Al Almaei, spokesperson of the Asir Red Crescent, said the operations room received a call at 6pm on Sunday, from a citizen saying a collision occurred on Al Hubail Road.
Al Almaei added three ambulance teams were immediately rushed to the scene, where they found the aftermath of a two-vehicle collision . The injured were transferred to Al Darb Hospital.
The crash was captured on a fixed surveillance camera.
Al Almaei called on all motorists to be careful and not to speed or be distracted while driving, and to use a seatbelt.
