HR ministry books 125 companies, served warning to others in 1,400 inspections
Abu Dhabi: Inspection teams of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Human Resources have arrested a number of foreign workers in Riyadh for allegedly misusing the IDs of Saudi users of a well-known car rental applications.
The Public Transport Authority has deactivated the accounts of the Saudi users, local media reported.
The offenders were arrested during raids carried out by ministry officials recently. Those apprehended included chauffeurs and livestock workers, who were found working illegally in a factory, in addition to some other foreigners who were working with employers other than their sponsors.
The ministry officials carried out more than 1,400 visits in various parts of the Riyadh region, during which they booked 125 businesses and served warnings to others, including the car rental, transport, and trading firms.
The ministry urged citizens to cooperate and report any violations of labour regulations through its Ma3an lil Rasd application available on smartphones or by calling the toll-free telephone number 19911.
