Dubai: A man was arrested in Saudi Arabia after a video of his young daughter smoking outraged the public.

The Attorney General Shaikh Saud Bin Abdullah Al Muajab in the Makkah region issued the warrant for the father’s arrest who endangered his daughter’s health by teaching her how to smoke.

In a statement published by the Saudi Press Agency, the Public Prosecution said it has a role to protect society and to hold those accountable responsible of breaking rules and laws.

The Public Prosecution has been recently monitoring all cases of abuse and prosecuting law-breakers in order to preserve the security and safety of the public, regardless if violators happen to be the parents or sponsor of the victim.
