Dubai: Saudi Arabia today reported 455 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 333,648 so far, the Ministry of Health said.

Twenty-nine more people have died from the complications caused by the virus in the past 24 hours, taking the country’s fatality tally to 4,712, Dr. Mohammad Al Abdul Ali, Health Ministry’s spokesperson said during a press conference on Monday.

Meanwhile, 841 infected patients have fully recovered from the deadly disease, pushing the total number of recovered cases to 317,846, with the recovery rate hitting a whopping 95.26 per cent,

With the sharp drop in new infections, active cases have also drastically fallen with only 11,090 being reported on Monday, out of which 1,034 are critical.

Jeddah reported the highest daily detected cases with 52, followed by Medina with 48, and Mecca with 35. Riyadh, Hufu, and Damman recorded 33, 32 and 24 cases respectively.

The remaining cases were detected in different cities and governorates across the Kingdom.
