Dubai: Another 2,613 people have tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Saudi Arabia, while 3,539 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered and 37 others have died.
According to the Saudi Ministry of Health, this brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 245,851 cases and recoveries to 191,161 while there have been 2,407 fatalities so far.
Of the new cases, 235 were recorded in Jeddah, 191 in Al Hufof, 185 in Riyadh, 147 in Al Mobarraz, 127 in Dammam, and 124 in Taif and 90 in Medina.
The ministry affirmed that the recent figures suggest that there has been a noticeable spike in the number of recoveries adding that there are 52,283 active cases out of which 2,188 are critical.
