Abu Dhabi: Private girls’ primary schools must boost the ratio of Saudi teachers to 90 per cent from August 29, while the ratio in boys’ schools must be 60 per cent, local media reported.
International boys’ and girls’ primary schools must be staffed 80 per cent with Saudi teachers.
In Saudi Arabia, primary schools run from grade I to grade VI.
In its first phase, the decision is expected to create up to 8,000 jobs to be filled by Saudis who are graduates of universities and colleges, while in the next three years it will create more than 28,000 new jobs.
The Saudi Ministry of Human Resources has set a minimum wage of no less than 5,000 riyals in a 12-month subsidised contract. It indicated that those whose salaries are less than this figure will not be counted in the Saudisation programme.
Offenders will have their licences suspended in addition to other penalties.
