Dubai: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has launched an initiative to raise awareness about cyberbullying and ways to prevent it, with the participation of more than 70 partners from the public, private and non-profit sectors.

The initiative aims to help parents learn about cyberbullying and how children are exposed to it in the digital world. It also aims to raise awareness about cyberbullying amid the increasing number of electronic platforms, especially video games or social networks.

The initiative seeks to change the behaviour of bullies, educating children about the forms and causes of cyber bullying.

It also seeks to explain the proper way to act regarding bullying, whether the child is a bully or being bullied, in addition to stressing the seriousness of bullying and its impact on children's mental health.
