Dubai: All foreigners travelling to Saudi Arabia must register their coronavirus vaccination status online before entering the Kingdom, state Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The online registration of vaccination status will help speed up travel procedures at Saudi airports and reduce passenger waiting time at ports of entry, according to a statement of the General Directorate of Passports carried by Saudi Press Agency.

The rule applies to GCC citizens, holders of new visas of all kinds, residents and their companions. It is in line with efforts made by the Kingdom to contain the spread of coronavirus and ensure the safety of citizens and residents living in the Kingdom.

All travellers must adhere to precautionary and preventive measures, the passport authority added.
