Saudi Arabia: 22,345 COVID-19 rule violations in a week

Abu Dhabi: Saudi authorities recorded 22,345 violations of COVID-19 rules across the Kingdom between August 15 to August 21, local media reported.

The Riyadh region recorded the highest number of offences with 8,840, followed by the Eastern Province with 3,049, then Medina with 2,145, Mecca with 1,881, Al Qassim with 1,819, Al Jawf with 1,221, Hail with 1,136, the Northern Borders region with 792, Tabuk with 386, Jazan with 333, Al Baha with 315, Asir with 236, and Najran with 192.

The Ministry of Interior stressed citizens and residents should continue to adhere to preventive measures and abide by the instructions issued by the relevant authorities in this regard.
