Dubai: The Saudi General Department of Traffic has issued a reminder to all motorists across the Kingdom to take advantage of the 50 per cent discount on outstanding traffic fines before the fast-approaching deadline of April 18, 2025 — just 10 days away.

Launched last month, the initiative aims to ease the financial burden on drivers by encouraging timely settlement of accumulated fines.

The discount applies to violations committed before April 18, 2024, offering a valuable opportunity for motorists to clear their records at a reduced cost.

Drivers can choose to pay the total discounted amount in one transaction or settle each violation individually, based on what suits them best. After the deadline, fines will revert to their original, full amounts, with no further discount available.

The department also renewed its call for the public to adhere strictly to traffic laws, underscoring that responsible driving is essential to ensuring road safety for all.

The initiative reflects the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to promote safer roads and more compliant driving behaviour across the country.
