Service ensures quick access to them through verification code

Cairo: Authorities responsible for Islam's second holiest site in the Saudi city of Medina have introduced a service providing tracking bracelets for children escorting parents on visits to the Prophet's Mosque.
The bracelet aims to facilitate the monitoring of children and provide a safe environment for them while their parents perform worship particularly during the current Islamic holy month of Ramadan.
The service ensures quick access to children when needed through a verification code that allows access to the registered contact information of their families.
The General Authority for Care of the Prophet's Mosque said the service is available in several locations in the mosque. They include service centres in the northern and southern sides of the mosque and the children's hospitality centre in the northeastern side.
In the lead-up to this year's Ramadan the Medina authorities mobilised all sources to receive an expected influx of worshippers and visitors.
A package of initiatives were unveiled with the aim of enriching worshippers' experience in Ramadan.
Based on high quality and innovation, the initiatives feature 220 sessions for memorizing the Holy Quran, more than 20,000 hours for teaching and correcting recitation of Islam's sacred text in the Prophet’s Mosque, and scholarly courses provided in 10 languages to accommodate students of different nationalities.
In a step to provide comfortable transportation in Medina, the city's bus operator launched a shuttle service to the Prophet's Mosque in Ramadan via several routes across the city.
