Cairo: The Saudi Arabia-led military coalition in Yemen on Wednesday said it intercepted an Al Houthi drone launched towards the kingdom, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The drone was intercepted in Yemeni airspace after Al Houthi militants launched it from northern Sanaa, the coalition added.

The Iran-aligned Al Houthi militia, which ousted the internationally recognized government from power in the Yemeni capital Sanaa in late 2014, have increased missile and drone attacks on Saudi cities during June.
