Dubai: Four Saudis were arrested for pouring a flammable material on a person in order to set him on fire and filming the incident, local media reported.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the spokesman for the Northern Border Police, Colonel Mutaib Al Khamis, said that security authorities have arrested four Saudis who appeared in videos circulated on social media.

Al Khamis added the men’s action constitutes a crime adding they did so to promote their accounts on social media.

He indicated initial legal measures were taken against them. They have been referred to the Public Prosecution.
