Dubai: The Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia has reported the first death of a doctor infected with coronavirus, according to the Okaz Newspaper.

The Syrian doctor Mohammad Musleh Qatranji was working in private medical clinic in the city of Khobar.

The department of Health Affairs in the region mourned the death of the Syrian doctor, who died last Monday, and conveyed condolences of the Minister of Health to his family members, praying to Allah Almighty to rest his soul in eternal peace and grant his family patience and solace.

The deceased was the third doctor to die of COVID-19 in Saudi Arabia after a Pakistani doctor in Macca and Sudanese doctor in Riyadh.
