Dubai: The total number of COVID-19 cases in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar has climbed to 863,230, while total deaths have risen to 9,032.

Oman

The Sultanate of Oman today recorded 264 new cases and one fatality, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 126,504, and fatality tally to 1,472.

According to the latest update by the Ministry of Health, an additional 239 patients have fully recovered, pushing total recoveries to 118,287.

The ministry urged community members to abide by social distancing protocols and precautionary measures in place to stem the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kuwait

Kuwait today reported 231 new cases and one death, taking the total number of confirmed infections to 146,449, and total fatalities to 912.

An additional 263 patients have fully recovered, shooting up total recoveries to 142,357, the Ministry of Health said in its latest update on Monday.

The active cases have now reached 3,180, including 57 that are critical under intensive care treatment.

Bahrain

The Ministry of Health confirmed the detection of 178 new cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total cases in the Kingdom to 88, 965.

No new death were reported over the last 24 hours, keeping the Kingdom’s fatality tally at 348. The newly detected cases include 110 expatriate workers, 58 newly infected people after contacting active cases and 10 are travel related infections.

There were 157 fresh recoveries, increasing total recoveries to 87,182. The active cases have now touched 1,613, including 1,606 that are stable, 19 are still under treatment and seven are critical cases under intensive care.

Qatar

The Ministry of Public Health has confirmed the detection of 160 new cases, bringing the total cases in Qatar to 141,121.

One people has succumbed to the infection in the past 24 hours, taking the fatality tally to 241.

According to the ministry’s latest update, a further 229 patients have fully recovered, pushing the total number of people recovered from the virus across the country to 138,719. Active cases have now touched 2,161, including 249 stable cases that are still receiving treatment, and 21 are critical under intensive care.

Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia’s daily count of coronavirus infections has continued to fall drastically, with just 125 new cases reported on Monday, signalling a retreat in the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the latest update by the Ministry of Health, 11 more deaths were reported over the past 24 hours. This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 360,013 and deaths to 6,059.

A further 243 new recoveries were registered over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people recovered from the virus to 350,792, with the recovery rate climbing to 97.43 per cent.

The active cases also declined remarkably to 3,162, out of which 493 that are critical receiving intensive care.
