Dubai: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health on Wednesday confirmed the detection of 118 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 363,377.

According to the ministry’s latest update, seven more patients have succumbed to complications caused by the infection, taking the total number of virus-related fatalities to 6,272.

A further 144 new recoveries were reported in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of people recovered across the Kingdom to 354,899, with the recovery rate rising to 97.66 per cent.

With the recoveries surpassing new cases regularly, the active cases have dropped to 2,206 out of which 351 were critical ones.

Kuwait

The Ministry of Health announced 411 new cases of COVID-19, bringing total infections to 152,438. No new deaths have been reported, keeping fatality tally at 938, according to the ministry’s latest update.

A further 231 patients have fully recovered, raising total recoveries to 148,015. The active cases have now touched 3,305, including 555 that are critical under intensive care.

Bahrain

An additional 229 new cases have been reported in Bahrain, bringing the total confirmed cases in the Kingdom to 93,995. No new fatalities were reported over the past 24 hours, keeping fatality tally at 352, the Ministry of Health said in its latest update. There were 218 fresh recoveries, pushing total recoveries to 91,213.

The active cases have now touched 2,430, including 2,417 that are stable, while there are 13 critical cases under intensive care.

Qatar

The Ministry of Public Health on Wednesday confirmed the detection of 209 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total infections in Qatar to 145,061.

No new fatalities were reported over the past 24 hours, leaving death toll at 245.

According to the ministry’s latest update, a further 126 patients have fully recovered, pushing the total number of people recovered from the virus across the country to 142,182.

Active cases have now touched 2,634 including 288 that are stable under treatment, while 32 are critical under intensive care.

Oman

The Ministry of Health registered 114 new coronavirus cases and two deaths in the Sultanate over the past 24 hours.

The total cases in the country have now touched 129,888, including 1,504 deaths, according to the ministry’s latest update.

An additional 50 patients have fully recovered, pushing total recoveries to 122,456.
