Dubai: Kuwait today reported the GCC’s second highest daily tally of COVID-19 cases with 844 infections, following the UAE, which registered 1,315 in the last 24 hours.

Kuwait

The total number of people infected with the virus in Kuwait stood at 112,737. Kuwait also announced 8 more deaths, taking its fatality tally to 672, while 706 new recoveries were reported on Tuesday, pushing total recoveries to 104,508.

Oman

Oman recorded 638 new cases of COVID-19, 7 deaths, and 335 recoveries. This brings total infections to 107,213, overall fatalities to 1,053 and gross recoveries to 93,557.

Saudi Arabia

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia announced the detection of 474 new cases, 19 deaths and 500 recoveries. The total cases in the Kingdom have now touched 340,089, including 326,339 recoveries and 5,087 fatalities.

Bahrain

Bahrain announced that four Bahrainis - three old women and an old man - have succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, while five people died on Monday. This brings total deaths to 284. The Kingdom also announced 334 new infections, pushing total cases to 75,668, while the newly reported 438 recoveries have pushed total number of recoveries to 71,687.

Qatar

Qatar registered 214 new infections, taking the total number of coronavirus cases to 128,185, een as 197 patients fully recovered during the past 24 hours, raising total recoveries to 125,373. No new fatalities were reported in the country over the past 24 hours, keeping death toll at 220.
