Arab unity focus of Saudi king visit to Egypt

Manama: Saudi King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz will arrive to a highly exceptional welcome when he lands in Egypt on Monday, sources said.
The Egyptian cabinet referred to King Salman as a “special guest” and reflective of the “deep-rooted” ties between the two countries.
According to sources speaking to Okaz, the leaders will discuss ways to reinforce Arab unity in the context of regional developments.
Egypt and Saudi Arabia will look to broaden their cooperation on external threats and the fight against terrorism.
“Several nations are attempting to disrupt relations between Saudi Arabia and Egypt,” Anwar Ashqi, head of the Middle East Centre for Strategic and Legal Studies, told Al Nahar news channel.
The visit will also look for ways to remove obstacles faced by those looking to invest in Egypt, particularly those from Saudi Arabia.
