Cairo: One person died and eight others were hurt after a gas leak in the Saudi capital Riyadh, according to a local medical official.

The leak occurred Tuesday in a house inhabited by expatriates in Riyadh’s district of Al Ramal, spokesman for the Saudi Red Crescent in Riyadh Yassir Al Jaljal added.

Eight ambulatory teams were dispatched to the site where two of the eight cases hurt in the leak were treated, he added. The six others, found in critical condition, were transferred to hospitals in the city, according to Al Jaljal.
