Dubai: Qatar has reported 389 cases of the novel coronavirus, taking the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 106,648.

Two people have died from the COVID-19 infection, bringing the country’s fatality tally to 159, according to latest coronavirus update revealed by the Ministry of Public Health on Monday.

The ministry also announced the recovery of 405 COVID-19 infected patients during the last 24 hours, pushing the total number of recovered cases to 103,782.

The newly detected cases were revealed after examining 4,336 people, raising to 446,036 the total number of people tested for coronavirus since the outbreak of the COVID-19 contagion.

There are 3,096 active cases, including 537 critical and 126 seriously ill patients under intensive care.
