Dubai: Qatar has announced the detection of another 470 new cases of COVID-19, raising the confirmed cases in the country to 103,598, according to the Ministry of Public Health.

The daily trends have seen to be dropping in recent days, while the recoveries rate is still increasing as 809 people have fully recovered in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recovered in Qatar to 99,743. However, one more death was reported, pushing the death toll to 147 in the country.

Qatar is having the world’s 21st highest number of coronavirus infections over Argentina. During the past 24 hours, six people have been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), taking the total number of people currently in intensive care units to 140.

Currently, the active cases stand at 3,708, meaning over 96 percent of the confirmed cases have recovered.

The ministry noted that the latest cases were detected after conducting 3,483 new Covid-19 tests in the last 24 hours taking the total tests done so far to 412,682.
