Dubai: Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health on Wednesday announced 643 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total infections in the country to 11,311.

A total of 109 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered, pushing the total number of recoveries to 1,243.

No new fatalities have been reported. The death toll stands at 10. The majority of the newly confirmed positive cases are related to expatriate workers while the other infected people were in contact with the previously diagnosed cases. They are under quarantine receiving the necessary treatment.

The ministry reiterated its call to the public to abide by quarantine measures and instructions as well as to avoid social gatherings and keep safe distance to control the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
