Cairo: Oman Friday announced 74 new coronavirus cases, bringing to 1,790 the country's overall infections including nine deaths.

The newly diagnosed cases are 35 Omanis and 39 foreigners, the Health Ministry said without a nationality breakdown, according to Oman's news agency ONA.

The overall number of recoveries has reached 325, ONA said. The ministry said Thursday night that a 57-year-old foreign resident had died of COVID-19, raising to nine the total such fatalities in the sultanate.
