Police in Oman arrest 182 others for violating residency law
Muscat: The Royal Oman Police have deported 715 illegal residents as part of a crackdown, according to a press release on Monday.
“The 715 illegal residents were deported after completing all legal procedures, including coordinating with the respective embassies in Oman,” a spokesman said.
He added that the ROP, along with Manpower Ministry and other government agencies, was continuing the crackdown against those who enter Oman illegally and also those caught violating the country’s residency laws after entering legally.
Last week, the police caught 182 illegal residents in different parts of the country.
“We would request all citizens and residents to report illegal expat residents and not to give them employment nor shelter,” he said.
