Dubai: A tropical depression in the southeastern Arabian Sea was monitored on Friday, and is expected to develop into a deep tropical depression in the coming hours, Oman’s Civil Aviation Authority announced.
In a statement issued today, the authority said: “The analyzes of the National Center for Early Warning of Multiple Hazards indicate the observing of a tropical depression in the southeastern Arabian Sea, Friday, May 14, 2021 AD, along a longitude (72.3 east) and a latitude (10.5 degrees north), and the estimated speed of surface winds around the center of 17-27 knots (31- 50 km / h). It is possible that the tropical depression will move north to northwest along the western coasts of India, as it deepens into a deep tropical depression in the coming hours, without affecting the Sultanate’s atmosphere during the next three days.”
