Muscat: Royal Oman Police have arrested an Asian man on charges of killing a woman of same nationality in Muscat. The police were informed by an Omani citizen who reported of foul smell emanating from a neighbouring flat. Police broke open the flat and found the body of the Asian woman.
The police said that they tracked down the accused in 24 hours. “He seems to have killed the woman after a heated arguments over some financial dispute between the two,” the police said.
Meanwhile, the police have arrested three Asian on an armed robbery at a farm in Sur. The three accused entered a farm house and threatened expatriate occupants with sharp weapons before decamping with cash, mobile phones and other valuables.
The accused confessed to their crime when confronted by police with evidence. The police also recovered part of the stolen goods from them.
