The GCC’s Supreme Military Committee of Chiefs of Staff held its 15th meeting on Monday with the participation of all members, including Qatar.

Saudi Arabia, UAE and Bahrain, which have been boycotting Doha for its links to extremism since June last year, have no contact with Qatar outside of GCC meetings.

The meeting comes as a complement to a series of previous regular meetings of the chiefs of staff, which seek to achieve more coordination among the armed forces of the GCC countries.

They discussed several topics related to the promotion of joint military action, to better integrate member states’ armed forces.
