Five arrested by Oman police for smuggling in narcotics

Muscat: Three Pakistanis nationals were among five arrested in Muscat on drug related charges, according to a Royal Oman Police (ROP) press release on Wednesday.

"Three Pakistani expatriates were caught red handed from Mabellah area," a spokesperson for ROP said, adding that the police found the trio in possession of 89 big-size capsules filled with heroin.

In another case, the police arrested two others for promoting drugs among users in Muscat. They had 20 capsules of heroin in their possession when police caught them.
