Expat in Oman extradited for murder in India

Muscat: An Indian national, facing murder charges in his home country, was extradited from Oman, according to a press release from Royal Oman Police (ROP).

An Interpol lookout notice was received by Oman for the Indian, who had allegedly murdered a compatriot in a Delhi hotel before flying to Muscat.

The ROP personnel caught the accused and produced him before the Appeals Court, which sentenced him to be deported to India under the extradition treaty signed between India and Oman.
