Cairo: Oman reported 223 new cases of the novel coronavirus on Sunday, taking the country's total infections to 81,580.
The latest cases include 148 Omanis and 75 foreign residents in Oman, the country's official news agency ONA reported, citing the Health Ministry.
The ministry also announced four new deaths from COVID-19, taking Oman's total such fatalities to 513.
The country's overall recoveries from the disease have increased by 1,210 to reach 74,691, the ministry added.
On Friday, Oman lifted a two-week lockdown between its governorates as part of eased restrictions against an outbreak of the new coronavirus.
A nighttime curfew, in place to contain the spread of COVID-19, was shortened as of Saturday.
Last week, a Health Ministry report said that epidemiological data indicate a drop in infection cases in Oman.
