Abu Dhabi: Oman’s Ministry of Health announced Monday 786 new COVID-19 infections and six deaths in the Sultanate, the Oman news agency reported.

The ministry said 298 of the new cases are Omanis and 488 cases are foreigners.

This brings the country’s overall infections to 12,223, and fatalities to 50.

The ministry also pointed out that 286 more people have recovered, taking the country’s overall recoveries to 2,682.

It called upon everybody to adhere to the health isolation procedures (in a room with own toilet), as the isolated person is served from outside the room as per the guidelines.

The ministry also advised citizens and residents to keep washing hands with water and soap, as well as avoid touching the face, nose, mouth and eyes, and following healthy habits when coughing and sneezing.
