Cairo: Oman’s Health Ministry Saturday confirmed 404 new cases of the novel coronavirus, bringing to 5,029 the country's overall infections, the Omani news agency ONA reported.

The newly diagnosed cases include 67 Omanis and 337 foreigners, the ministry said without giving a breakdown of foreign patients’ nationalities.

A 43-year-old foreign resident, who was infected with coronavirus, has died, bringing to 20 the total such fatalities in Oman, the ministry reported Friday night.
