Dubai: Al Zababdeh municipality — near Jenin city, north of West Bank — named a street after the late Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, said an official yesterday.

In a press statement, Chief of Zababdeh municipality Munadhel Sharqawi affirmed that the late Kuwaiti leader was a key figure in supporting Palestinians and their lawful rights.

He said that Kuwaiti and Palestinian ties were strong and that was evident in the various projects carried out Kuwait in Zababdeh.

The official commended the achievements laid out by the former Emir of Kuwait and wished for further progress for Kuwait under current Emir His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
