The reported executions will be the country's second this year

Cairo: Kuwaiti authorities are preparing in the coming days to carry out death sentences earlier handed down to convicts in different cases, according to a Kuwaiti media report.
The executions will be carried out against eight inmates on death rows including women, Kuwaiti newspaper Al Rai reported, quoting a security source.
The executions will take place inside Kuwait's Central Prison where preparations have been finalised by competent authorities, including emergency and forensic medicine services.
Representatives from the public prosecution, the Ministry of Interior, and other relevant authorities will be present on the day of the execution, the source added without further details.
There was no immediate comment from Kuwaiti authorities.
Last January, eight defendants convicted of murder were executed in Kuwait after death sentences passed against them became final
They included seven Kuwaiti nationals — six men and one woman-- as well as an Egyptian expatriate, who were all convicted of murder in different cases.
The executions were Kuwait’s first this year. Last September, seven murder convicts were executed, including a woman convicted of killing her friend.
To be an enforceable, a death sentence is carried out in Kuwait after the three levels of the litigation process before the Criminal Court, the Court of Appeal, and the Court of Cassation are exhausted, and the ruling must be ratified by the country's emir.
