Dubai: A total of eight judges, three lawyers and six administrators in the Kuwait Appellate courts have been referred by the Public Prosecution to the Criminal Court, local media reported.

The move sets a precedent in the history of the judiciary and emphasize the country’s dedication to fighting corruption.

Money laundering

The convicts have been arrested after eight months of extensive investigation on suspicions of bribery, forgery and money laundering, Al Jarida reported.

The Supreme Judicial Council decided to suspend eight judges and refer them to investigation, accusing them of dealing with the Iranian suspect in the money laundering network, Fouad Salehi.
