Police raid on suspects’ residence leads to stolen items

Cairo: Kuwaiti police have arrested a gang suspected of stealing road signs and iron poles deemed as public property.
The suspected gangsters were detained in the Mubarak Al Kabeer governorate, south of Kuwait City.
The arrests were made after police had received a tip-off that several individuals were involved in stealing and selling public property.
The information was verified, and legal permission was obtained from the public prosecution to arrest the suspects and search their residence, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior said.
A police raid led to the discovery of the stolen items inside the suspects’ residence, including eight road signs with their iron poles and nine iron poles without signs.
The ministry added that investigations are underway with the accused to determine if any of the stolen items were sold and to identify the places where the thefts took place.
A video released by the ministry showed three suspects along with some road signs and iron poles.
