Kuwait company win new US military logistics contract

Public Warehouses Co. (PWC Logistics) of Kuwait won a $180-million contract from the US Defense Logistics Agency for both regional and global operations.

According to the official KUNA news agency, the contract is for five years and PWC Logistics will provide warehousing and distribution. PWC Logistics will handle over 70,000 different items and also provide value-added services, including asset tracking, packing for ground and air transportation, and IT development and implementation support.

PWC Logistics is the largest listed firm on the Kuwait Stock Exchange.

The contract is the third major long-term contract awarded by the Pentagon to PWC Logistics during the past three months, KUNA said on Saturday.
