Saleh Al Mulla was arrested after insulting Kuwaiti ruler and criticising visit by Al Sissi
Dubai: Kuwait former lawmaker Saleh Al Mulla was released on a KD 2,000-bail. The court on Sunday said that it would review his case on February 15.
Al Mulla was arrested last week in a state security-related case brought against him following a tweet he posted in his account.
His lawyer reportedly said that his client was arrested for “allegedly insulting the Gulf state’s ruler and criticizing a visit by the Egyptian president Abdul Fattah Al Sissi to Kuwait.”
Kuwait, like other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, supports Al Sissi.
