Filipina accused of joining Daesh in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY: Kuwait says that it has arrested a Filipina it accuses of joining the Daesh terror group and planning an attack.

The state-run Kuwait News Agency announced the arrest late on Friday night, publishing a photograph of the woman in a black abaya.

An Interior Ministry statement says the woman “confessed she wanted to carry out a terrorist act once she could”.

The statement did not elaborate, nor did it identify the woman or say if she faced criminal charges.
