Kuwait City: The Acting Undersecretary of Kuwait’s Ministry of Education, Faisal Al Maqsid, announced the possibility of students returning to school by the beginning of the second semester, Al Jarida reported.
His announcement came during a meeting that was attended by the Assistant Undersecretary for General Education, Osama Al Sultan, and the school directors, where they discussed a variety of topics related to education.
During the meeting, Al Maqsid stressed the importance of developing a gradual plan for students to return to schools, which can only take place after the approval of the health authorities.
Al Sultan was tasked with forming a mini committee, under the supervision of Al Maqsid, where they will lay out a comprehensive plan and create a proposal that will be discussed at a meeting early next week.
The Minister of Education, Dr. Saud Al Harbi, announced back in September that all schools will be conducting e-learning in an effort to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
