Cairo: Kuwait Saturday confirmed 758 new cases of the novel coronavirus over the past 24 hours, with an increase of 195 cases against the number of infections reported the day before, pushing the country's overall infections to 103,199.
Two more deaths from COVID-19 have been recorded, raising Kuwait's fatality tally due to the disease to 597, the Health Ministry's spokesman Dr Abdullah Al Sanad said in an update.
There are 108 patients receiving intensive care treatment, he added, according to the Kuwaiti news agency KUNA.
Kuwait's total virus tests have reached 733,893 after 4,138 tests have been done over the past 24 hours.
The Health Ministry said that the overall recoveries in Kuwait have risen to 94,211 after 649 more patients have recovered from COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.
