Dubai: A massive plume of smoke rose from Kuwait’s Mina Al-Ahmadi refinery after a reported drone attack struck the facility, triggering fires across several operational units. Dramatic visuals showed thick black smoke billowing into the sky as emergency response teams rushed to contain the blaze.

Authorities have not yet confirmed the extent of the damage or whether there were any casualties, but initial reports indicate that firefighting units were quickly deployed to prevent the fire from spreading further. The refinery, one of Kuwait’s largest and most critical energy facilities, plays a key role in the country’s oil production and export operations.

The incident has raised concerns over the security of vital energy infrastructure in the region, particularly amid ongoing geopolitical tensions.
