Kuwaiti sentenced to one one month for rioting

Manama: A Kuwaiti national was sentenced to one month in prison on charges of taking part in demonstrations in Bahrain.

The court on Wednesday said that Ali Al Ali would be deported after serving the term and barred from entering Bahrain for the next three years.

The defendant had denied the charges and argued that he was waiting for a friend when he was arrested by the police near Bani Jamra, a village in the north west of Bahrain.
