Dubai: Bahrain’s Ministry of Health has announced the detection pf 405 new cases of the COVID-19 in foreign workers, contacts and some from recent arrivals to the island kingdom.
The latest cases, which brought the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 46,835, were detected after conducting over 9,669 Covid-19 tests in the past 24 hours.
Health officials said that 160 expatriate workers were detected with the virus in the past 24 hours, 241 others were infected from local contacts of active cases and 4 are travel related.
The ministry also confirmed that 322 patients recovered from coronavirus bringing the total number of recoveries in the country to 43,128 so far.
Bahrain’s coronavirus death toll rose to 171 as one more patient succumbed to the deadly virus.
The latest update revealed that there are currently 93 Covid-19 cases receiving treatment, of which 41 are in a critical condition. Over 3,496 cases are stable out of a total of 3,537 active cases. The total number of discharged recovered cases totals to 43,128.
Bahrain has so far conducted over 972,003 tests.
