Dubai: Bahrain’s Ministry of Health has announced the Kingdom has only 1,538 active coronavirus cases remaining after the recovery rate jumped significantly while new infections decreased, local media reported.

The ministry said it had conducted 9,912 COVID-19 tests yesterday, which resulted in 114 new cases being detected among 33 expatriate workers, 64 contacts of active cases, and 17 passengers. There were 212 recoveries from COVID-19, increasing total recoveries to 83,829.

Over the past few weeks, the ministry has been reporting low COVID-19 infections while the number of recoveries has outpaced the number of daily COVID-19 infections.
